Data-driven, Teacher-led: How teaching and learning guidance empowers teachers to unlock potential

Webinar information
Do you ever feel like you are drowning in data? From health monitors to home energy apps, our technological world can provide an overwhelming amount of information.
In schools, we are sometimes overwhelmed by data too: attendance, behaviour, assessment, progress, safeguarding, the list goes on. There’s no denying that some of it is useful and that with enough time and an experienced eye someone could draw powerful conclusions from some of it that would lead to better outcomes for our students and our schools, but time and experience can be a challenge.
Baseline assessment might seem like just another data burden for busy teachers. But accessing the right data at the right time about our learners can give us a crucial head start in supporting them to achieve the best they can. Baseline data can save time during the ‘getting to know you’ phase at the beginning of the school year, providing clear and reliable insight into academic strengths and areas for improvement.
In this 45 minute webinar, experienced teacher and Cambridge Insight reporting and guidance specialist, Annie Vincent, will delve into the key aspects of Cambridge Primary Insight, our baseline assessment for 5-11 year olds:
- What are we measuring and why does it matter?
- What do the reports tell us about our students and learning groups?
- What can we do with the data? Putting the insight into action with targeted teaching and learning strategies.
Using examples from the automatically generated teaching and learning guidance that is included in Cambridge Primary Insight Plus, Annie will demonstrate how to differentiate teaching and learning for different groups by ability in reading, and how you can apply similar strategies in mathematics, arithmetic and spelling.
Who is this for?
This webinar is ideal for Senior Leaders, Principals, Vice Principals, School Leaders, Head Teachers, Deputy Heads, Heads of Department and Teachers.
Not free to attend? You can still sign up; the recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
We hope to see you there!
