Primary assessments

Our adaptive baseline assessments provide primary school trusts insight into their 4–11-year-olds. This allows academies to measure and demonstrate progress throughout the pupil's learning journey.
BASE
BASE is our reception baseline assessment designed to give you a snapshot of where your children are as soon as they start school at age 4 or 5.
Cambridge Primary Insight
(the next generation of InCAS)
Cambridge Primary Insight is our next-generation primary assessment. This empowers teachers to build solid foundations and unlock the potential of children aged 5-11.
What reporting is included?
- Compare development with pupils of a similar age with age-equivalent scores
- Measure progress of pupil ability over time

Secondary assessments

Our secondary adaptive baseline assessments help your academies discover student potential. We designed these assessments for students aged 11-16, helping to predict up to GCSE.
MidYIS
MidYIS is our lower secondary assessment for students aged 11-14. MidYIS helps to discover students' aptitudes and likely future performance at GCSE.
Yellis
Yellis is our upper secondary assessment for 14-16-year-olds. Yellis helps your academies understand the support their students need as they prepare for their GCSE.
What reporting is included?

Post-16 assessments

Our post-16 baseline assessments help your academies’ students boost their learning journey, especially as they prepare for their A Levels.
Alis
Alis is our post-16 baseline assessment for 16-19-year-olds, helping academies form an objective judgement highlighting the likelihood of achieving each grade at A Level.
Specific to Key Stage 5, Alis uses nationally standardised scoring, comparing performance to national and independent school averages. The test reveals outliers of excellence, as well as any dips in performance which would require attentive support.

Wellbeing Check
The Cambridge Wellbeing Check is a simple, student-led assessment.
We designed the assessment to give academies and trusts a complete picture of students' wellbeing. These checks are suitable for children aged 7-18. The check equips you with the tools to evaluate, explore, teach and promote wellbeing.
What reporting is included?
- A look at how your students are doing regarding interpersonal wellbeing, life satisfaction, competence wellbeing, and negative emotions
- Compare groups or classes in your academy and identify trends over time
- Supporting lesson plans are also included to provide guidance and help you understand how to promote wellbeing in the classroom
