CEM assessments for the early years are designed to complement teachers’ evaluations of what children know and can do at the start of their school career.


The suite of CEM assessments for primary schools is designed to bring objectivity into the teaching and learning process.


CEM Assessments provide a baseline for secondary school and measure progress and performance up to external examinations at 16.


CEM’s post-16 assessments are designed to monitor student performance and progress to examinations at age 16+.

Entrance Assessments

Since 1999 CEM has developed assessments with the aim of creating a fair selection process and have achieved this by drawing from research identifying the best predictors of later achievement.

System Maintenance

CEM online systems will be unavailable 2nd – 19th January 2020.

We will be carrying out essential maintenance on all CEM online systems from 9am GMT Thursday 2nd - 6pm GMT Sunday 19th January 2020. During this time, you will not be able to access your CEM accounts, assessments and reports.

If you are planning to assess any students on these dates, please download the local versions of the assessments and any reports you may need before the Christmas break.
